Job Description

At Aperia, we rely on a dynamic team of Design. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Manager to lead our design team in our outsourcing product company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the design team, ensuring that we meet our clients' expectations and deliver high-quality design output. The ideal candidate has a strong background in team leadership, performance management, and design excellence. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of designers to achieve company goals and objectives. 
  • Manage performance and team development to ensure that the team is highly skilled and capable of delivering quality design output to our clients. 
  • Manage the day-to-day operation and administration of the design team. 
  • Manage resource allocation and design cost per jobs and projects. 
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed. 
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for the company. 

Functional Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of product design development, including planning, design, review, and testing. 
  • Leading design system maintenance and improvement. 
  • Manage the design processes that incorporate with agile methodologies. 
  • Manage the design output of the company to ensure that our products meet or exceed client expectations and deliver high-quality design output. 

Technical Skills

  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken). 
  • Strong understanding of design principles and methodologies, particularly design thinking. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience with design software such as Figma, InVision, Whimsical, etc. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing design teams and delivering high-quality design output. 
  • Strong portfolio of design work showcasing your leadership and design skills. 
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for the company. 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify areas for process improvement. 
  • Passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with industry trends. 
  • Experience with managing a 10+ members team is a plus. 
  • Experience with enterprise product development is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in design management and team leadership. 

Education or Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design/art, engineering, or a related field.

Job Type

  • Full-Time (Hybrid)

Schedule 

  • Monday to Friday
