Scope of Work (SoW):

At Aperia, we rely on a dynamic team of IT. We’re seeking an Associate System Administrator who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that’s always pushing boundaries. This person will have mainly System Administrator System/Infrastructure (entry-level). The ideal candidate is also able to cover IT Help Desk responsible as daily basic.

  1. Daily IT services checklist (ACS, CCTV, Wi-Fi, Meeting Room...)
  2. End User Device support on Incident Report, Service Request and Change Management (patching or other related tasks):
    • Hardware: PC (desktop/laptop), & office equipment (printer, scanner...), accessory (keyboard, mouse, headset...)
    • Software: Windows OS 10, 11 & Mac OS (advantage)
  3. System, Network, Security and Storage: perform assigned tasks with entry-level
  4. Other collaboration tasks are assigned by IT Manager.

Skills:

  1. Technical skills (knowledge, certified or 1 to 2 years' experience):
    • Application: Access Control System, AD services, CCTV, Unified Communications & Collaboration Sys., Version Control Sys...
    • Operating Sys.: Windows, Linux and Mac (advantage).
    • Virtualization & Cloud: Hyper-V, VMWare, Azure.
    • Service Device: Server and End User Device (desktop, laptop and tablet).
    • Network: WAN and LAN services.
    • Security (Total Visibility and Complete Control): Antivirus sys., Monitoring and Logging.
    • Storage: Direct-attached storage, NAS and SAN.
    • Server room.
  2. Soft skills
    • Incident & Problem-solving skills.
    • Communication skills: Clear and effective communication is crucial. This includes ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical users, as well as listening skills to understand user's issues fully.
    • Customer Service Orientation: A strong focus on customer service is essential. The IT HelpDesk is a service unit, and its success is measured by how effectively it meets user needs and resolves their problems. Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude are key.
    • Collaboration and Teamwork: Although much of the HelpDesk's work is done individually, collaboration and teamwork are essential.
    • Automation and Scripting Mindset: Passion for automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
    • Inventory Management skill.

Things that will separate you from the rest

  • ITIL qualification or awareness of the ITIL processes and ticket systems (ServiceNOW, Atlassian, TOPdesk, ZenDesk…).
  • Experience in support Int’l companies.
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Containerization and Orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Agile and Lean Methodologies.

Education or Certifications

  • Fresher, Int'l certified or experienced <= 2 years (MCSA and CCNA...)
